Requirements

Senior level
High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent
Experience supporting transmission and distribution substation projects
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, utility infrastructure and power delivery systems
6 years of experience leading engineering tasks, reviewing deliverables and coordinating teams
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D or similar design software
Periodic travel for project, client and team needs
US employment authorization without sponsorship
In-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location

Ability to work independently while collaborating in a remote environment
Experience with utility, renewable energy, grid modernization or energy transition projects
Experience mentoring designers or engineers
Familiarity with underground transmission and distribution applications
Knowledge of industry standards and codes
Strong communication, leadership and client relationship skills

Lead the design of transmission and distribution substation projects for utility, renewable and industrial clients
Apply design expertise across planning, conceptual design, detailed design, procurement and construction support
Lead design tasks and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to deliver on schedule and within budget
Provide technical oversight for upgrades, expansions, brownfield modifications and greenfield projects
Support construction activities through technical consultation, design clarifications and field issue resolution
Support proposal development, scope definition, cost estimates and pursuit efforts
