Requirements
Must have
- Senior level
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future
- 15 to 20 years' industrial experience in the design field
- Highly experienced in design of piping & mechanical systems used in chemical manufacturing facilities
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs, plant engineering specifications and standards
- Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME and API
- Outdoor design experience; able to wear required PPE and drive to jobsite for field measurement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Capable of operating in a self-directed manner
Nice to have
- Design experience in the chemical manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in MicroStation
- Local or regional area candidates (no per diem or relocation available)
What you'll actually do
- Drive piping & mechanical design for capital and service projects in active chemical manufacturing plants
- Interface with plant engineers, operators, maintenance and environmental staff on design considerations
- Guide junior piping and mechanical designers in their design work
- Guide site employees through design reviews and issue complete construction packages
- Field as-built, measurement and design as project requires
- Assist with material take-offs and construction estimating
