Requirements

Junior level
ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical or bioprocess engineering
0 to 3 years of experience in a design firm setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Background screening

Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion
Fundamental experience with process modeling, material and energy balances and sizing calculations
Fundamental experience with fluid mechanics, hydraulic modeling and heat transfer
Fundamental experience with chemistry/biochemistry
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficiency in computer-aided drafting, process modeling and calculation programs

Design and engineer manufacturing facilities and equipment, infrastructure and critical utility systems
Execute engineering calculations including heat transfer and pressure drop calculations
Support documentation of the process design scope in coordination with other disciplines
Prepare engineering deliverables such as process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment lists and datasheets
Support field installation teams and execute construction site observations
Work closely with architects, engineers and designers to ensure a coordinated, constructible design
