Requirements
Must have
- Lead level
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering or related production environment
- Previous leadership, supervisory or project-management experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, continuous improvement and process controls
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and bills of material
- Walk throughout the facility, stand for extended periods and comply with PPE standards
Nice to have
- Experience in high-volume assembly, fabrication, appliance, refrigeration or similar manufacturing
- SolidWorks experience
What you'll actually do
- Lead the manufacturing engineering function and coach manufacturing engineering team members
- Lead development of standardized work instructions, manufacturing documentation, process controls and production standards
- Serve as manufacturing engineering lead for new product introductions, engineering changes, pilot builds and launches
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, improve quality and safety, and reduce waste and cost
- Conduct time studies, labor analyses, capacity reviews and production efficiency evaluations
- Develop capital equipment plans and lead specification, procurement, installation and commissioning of equipment
