Requirements

Junior level
ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
0 to 3 years of experience
Fundamental experience performing engineering calculations and electrical lighting, power and special systems designs
Proficient at fundamental electrical design calculations under the supervision of an engineer
Fundamental experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions and supporting field reporting
Ability to interface with clients and external partners
Ability to travel for client development and project execution
Background screening

Lay out electrical systems in conformance with code requirements and with other design disciplines
Conduct basic field investigations to integrate the design with existing systems and structures
Work closely with architects, engineers and designers to ensure a coordinated, constructible design
Perform power load, illumination, short circuit and voltage drop calculations
Prepare basis of design reports, code evaluations, single line diagrams, plans and specifications
Use computer aided drafting and engineering software
