Service Technician / Mechanic – Diesel and Hydraulics job in Canton, OH, USA. by Custom Truck One Source
Requirements
Must have
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of related experience (shop tech)
- Valid driver's license
- Own tools
- Ability to use a laptop to access information and perform diagnostic tests
- Proficient in documentation using software
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Nice to have
- Electrical, schematic/blueprint, hydraulic and welding experience
- Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA or related diagnostic software
- DOT, ANSI and dielectric testing
What you'll actually do
- Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance on aerials, digger derricks, cranes and high rail equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and repair orders to perform maintenance and service
- Diagnose and repair LMI (Load Moment Indicator) and CAN bus (Controller Area Network) systems
- Inspect, service and repair vehicles at the service center and in the field
- Verify work performed and road test vehicles as necessary
- Prepare inspection reports, repair orders and timecards
