Requirements
Must have
- Strong background in customer service and interpersonal communication
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a continuing care retirement community or hospital setting
What you'll actually do
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility)
- Answer resident call lights promptly and courteously
- Promote resident dignity, individuality and rights while encouraging independence
- Participate in shift reports and maintain up-to-date resident records
- Support meal service by managing menu choice tickets and helping serve meals
- Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges as directed
