Requirements
Must have
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience in phlebotomy or a related field
Nice to have
- Certified Lab Assistant, Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technologist
What you'll actually do
- Assist in all aspects of the lab per physician orders to aid in proper diagnosis
- Greet and identify patients using two-patient identifiers
- Perform venipuncture and collect specimens using a variety of laboratory collection tools and methods
- Identify and label all specimens in accordance with established laboratory guidelines
- Process all specimens in an efficient and timely manner
