Requirements
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing school student with 1 semester of clinical completed
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Background check including criminal history
Nice to have
- Phlebotomy experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant program or phlebotomy course
What you'll actually do
- Perform basic nursing care under RN supervision, including vital signs, blood glucose and intake and output
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming and eating
- Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff
- Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly
- Serve as liaison between patient care units and all other patient-related departments
- Answer telephone, intercom and call lights and communicate information to staff, family and patients
