Requirements
Must have
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire
- Graduate from an accredited CMA program
- Technical degree
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What you'll actually do
- Prepare and room patients, obtaining and documenting histories, vital signs and chief complaints
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, procedures and diagnostic testing
- Perform specialized tests, specimen collection and other clinical procedures as ordered
- Clean, disinfect and sterilize instruments and equipment to established standards
- Administer medications, immunizations and treatments within scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
