Requirements

Active, good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in Texas (or pending VTNE or transferable license)
5+ years of veterinary technician experience
Emergency and critical care nursing skills: triage, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, medication calculations
Proficiency in monitoring anesthesia and patient vital signs
Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Communication and client service skills with pet owners in stressful situations
Teamwork with veterinarians, technicians, assistants and client care staff
Availability for evenings (Monday–Friday) and weekends

Provide rapid assessment and triage of emergency patients to prioritize treatment
Perform advanced nursing care, including IV catheters, medications, fluids and critical care support
Assist veterinarians during emergency procedures, diagnostics, surgery and resuscitation, including CPR
Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs, documenting changes in condition
Educate and support pet owners on treatment plans, discharge instructions and home care

Salary: $28–$30 / hr
