Requirements
Must have
- 2-year associate degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficient in obtaining vital signs and recording patient information accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and EMR systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Extended periods in a stationary or standing position
- Lift or move up to 10 lbs
Nice to have
- Experience using Acumen and EPIC
What you'll actually do
- Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular or intradermal injections under physician supervision
- Obtain vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature and pulse
- Check patient hemoglobin via fingerstick after training and certification
- Obtain patient weight and record it in the EMR
- Keep the nurse manager aware of any high-risk situations
- Support physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and licensed clinical staff
