Salary - $17.50–$19.50 / hr

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Current first aid training
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals
Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job
Good physical health verified by health screening, including chest x-ray or intradermal test
Criminal record clearance prior to beginning work
Must be at least 18 years of age

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), including bathing, grooming, hygiene and dressing
Assist residents into and out of bed and wheelchair using safe lifting/transferring techniques
Assist residents at mealtime, serving meals, clearing tables and delivering room trays
Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately
Respond timely to resident pull cords/alerts
Assist Activities Department staff in carrying out planned activities and social programs
