Requirements
Must have
- Required certifications in line with state regulations
- Background check clearance
- Reliable transportation to client homes in Toms River and surrounding areas
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions carefully
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and perform light housekeeping
Nice to have
- Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or a related field
What you'll actually do
- Provide personalized in-home care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and meal preparation
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor the client's home environment and report concerns or changes in condition
- Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring per care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and client observations
- Cover shifts for regular caregivers on short notice
