Salary - $150,000–$175,000 / yr
Requirements
Must have
- Senior level
- Active licensed customs broker
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business or related field
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in logistics international transportation
- 3–5+ years in leadership or senior management roles
- Prior experience with Hazmat transportation and customs paperwork
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international trade compliance, customs regulations and governmental requirements
Nice to have
- Experience managing multi-site 3PLs and logistics operations
- Vendor negotiation and contract management
- Knowledge of transportation modes and regulations
- Experience with free trade agreements, duty drawback and special trade programs
- Advanced Excel and logistics systems proficiency
- Leadership and team development
What you'll actually do
- Develop and implement logistics strategies aligned with company goals
- Lead and mentor logistics team, 3PL warehouse and transportation teams
- Manage 3PL providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and carriers; negotiate contracts and SLAs
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipping, 3PL warehousing and distribution activities
- Develop and manage logistics budgets and track KPIs such as on-time delivery and inventory turns
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards and import/export requirements
