Requirements

High school diploma or GED
6 months of practical retail sales experience, or equivalent training, experience and education
Math skills including decimals, percentages and fractions
Ability to operate a personal computer, calculator, copy machine and telephone
Lift, carry, push and pull objects of 12-50 lbs
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
Ability to perceive colors, sounds, depth and visual cues
Possible exposure to dirt, dust, temperature extremes and chemicals

Maintain sales quota set by weekly, monthly and annual store goals
Advise customers on quality, style or value of home furnishings merchandise
Verify prices and account for each item on sales orders; calculate sales discounts
Set up advertising displays and stock shelves, counters, tables and sales areas
Make sales prospecting calls and maintain accurate customer records in the CRM system
Resolve customer complaints about delivery of damaged or incorrect merchandise
