Requirements
Must have
- Mid level
- Certified forklift operator
- Associate degree or some college background
- 2-5 years of shipping and/or manufacturing work experience
- Hands-on 5S experience
- Full understanding of industry safety standards
- Full understanding of customer expectations, deliverables and cost of poor quality
- Ability to multitask and work independently and within a team
- Walking and standing for long periods of time
Nice to have
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong communication skills
- Good time-management and effective decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure
What you'll actually do
- Coordinate all receiving processes for aluminum, vinyl and chain link products
- Work with all operation departments to schedule merchandise being received
- Receive materials and organize them strategically in the warehouse
- Verify material identification and condition as received
- Label all items, keep inventory levels safe and report shortages to management
- Operate equipment and securely move products to designated zone areas
