Requirements

Must have

  • Mid level
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field, or any field with 2 years of related human services experience
  • Considerable experience in assigned program area and completion of required training programs
  • Considerable knowledge of social work principles and practices
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and associated software
  • Skill in the operation of a motor vehicle
  • Ability to interview, assess needs, counsel and refer clients to other resources
  • Ability to plan and manage own work, including reports, correspondence and record keeping
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in a human services field
  • Some relevant social work experience
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency, particularly Spanish or other community languages

What you'll actually do

  • Prepare participants for FPMs and FGCs, facilitate the meetings and complete follow-up activities
  • Provide case consultation around referrals for Family Engagement best practices
  • Apply clinical and strength-based interventions throughout the FPM and FGC process
  • Ensure safety planning issues are addressed in preparation of every Family Engagement meeting
  • Document case contacts and FPM plans in OASIS
  • Serve as a VEMAT rater assessing needs of children in foster care
