Requirements
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some experience with sandblasting outside
- Strong understanding of job-related techniques, tools and materials
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental standards
- Commitment to safety procedures, security protocols and proper PPE use
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
- Background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical and drug testing
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, technical or production environment
- Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO 14001 certified environment
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with documentation or reporting tools
- Commitment to quality improvement and process efficiency
What you'll actually do
- Sandblast surfaces to remove old paint, rust and other debris
- Prepare parts for paint, including masking, cleaning and hanging on racks
- Perform finishing operations and packaging, paint touch-up and part marking
- Remove burrs or excess metal from machined parts
- Support manual assembly operations
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the work area, including 5S
