Requirements

Lead level
HS diploma or equivalent
3 to 5 years in a plant environment
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to train, motivate and direct production employees
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work long and irregular hours in response to customer demands and production matters
Willing and able to work an afternoon or night shift

College degree
Process control experience
Steel, slitting, coil coating and other steel-related experience (strongly preferred)

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of production workers on a shift
Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments
Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job assignments
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality
Analyze and resolve work issues and coach employees in solving work problems
