Requirements
Must have
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–2 years of experience in a customer service position
- Background check including criminal history
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual
What you'll actually do
- Greet patients and guests, confirm identity and provide information related to their visit
- Complete check-in/out functions and patient registration
- Confirm and update patient identification, demographic and insurance information
- Obtain patient consents and authorizations
- Collect co-payments, past due balances and point of service payments
- Post payments, process billing information and perform end-of-day cash drawer closing
