Requirements
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience
- Bilingual
- Proficient with technology and computer skills including Microsoft software
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle cash and accurately complete bank deposit slips
- Travel to various sites required
- Regular, reliable attendance
Nice to have
- Medical or dental terminology
- Experience in medical, dental, or behavioral health settings
What you'll actually do
- Greet patients and answer inbound phone calls
- Schedule, confirm and reschedule patient appointments per scheduling guidelines
- Register patients and verify demographics and insurance eligibility at every visit
- Determine sliding fee eligibility and verify proof of income
- Receive copayments and self-payments, give receipts and reconcile monies daily
- Scan patient related documents to the electronic health record (EHR)
