Maintenance Supervisor job in Portage, IN, USA. by Precoat Metals
Requirements
Must have
- Lead level
- 5 years of hourly multi-craft maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Strong electrical background
- Strong electrical troubleshooting
- Train, motivate and direct maintenance employees
- Communicate effectively with all levels in an organization
- Computer skills to update shift reports, work orders and email
- Ability to be on call and work a flexible schedule
Nice to have
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school
- 3 years of supervision in industrial maintenance
- Knowledge of Reliance Automax, RSLogix and SLC500 PLC
- Knowledge of Reliance DC and AC drives and Allen Bradley PowerFlex AC drives
What you'll actually do
- Assist in supervising the daily activity of the maintenance department and instruct, direct and assist maintenance employees
- Ensure work is performed correctly and completely
- Provide information that aids in the preparation of preventative maintenance programs
- Manage inventory and purchase parts as needed
- Document shift incidents and accidents using the appropriate plant or corporate form
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure employees on the shift wear the correct PPE
