Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency certificate
3 years of demonstrated experience of Native American culture
Valid California Class C driver license and insurability under the Tribe's vehicle insurance
Mandated Reporting Certificate of Training and CPR/AED/First Aid certification
Valid Food Handler's Card
Knowledge of Tribal traditions, culture and instructional techniques for cultural classes
Background investigation under P.L. 101-630 and pre-employment drug screening
Lift 5–25 lbs, sit for extended periods, bend, kneel or crouch

Facilitate, oversee and conduct cultural education classes on Native American culture and traditions
Develop and implement lesson plans, coordinate events and build community relationships
Conduct native language immersion instruction, translate educational documents and run workshops
Research, collect and prepare cultural materials; consult with Elders and traditional sources
Prepare gatherings, including cooking, setting up and clean-up
Drive clients to classes and events as necessary
