Requirements
Must have
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- CPR/First Aid certification where required
- Meet state-specific education, certification, licensing and regulatory requirements
- Basic understanding of classroom procedures
- Willingness to learn state licensing and compliance requirements
- Ability to pass a background check
- Complete ongoing professional development
- At least 18 years of age
Nice to have
- Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool or similar setting
What you'll actually do
- Help create a safe, nurturing and engaging classroom environment for all children
- Support daily activities and curriculum implementation alongside the lead teacher
- Provide active supervision, ensuring safety and compliance with required ratios
- Support children's development through positive guidance, interaction and play
- Assist with classroom routines, organization and communication with families
- Support overall school operations
